Abstract Purpose Artificial organs might serve as alternative solutions for whole organ transplantation. Decellularization of a liver provides non-immunogenic matrix with the advantage three afferent systems, portal vein, hepatic artery and bile duct. This study aims to evaluate recellularization rat livers islets Langerhans via duct vein comparison different perfusion routes. Methods Rat were decellularized in pressure-controlled manner repopulated intact isolated either or Results Repopulation showed islet clusters stuck within vascular system demonstrated by ellipsoid borders thick reticular tissue around cluster Azan staining.
